Baseball Recap: Rockwood Comes Up Short

Rockwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wartburg Central Bulldogs, falling 11-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Rockwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Wartburg Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockwood will face off against Eagleton College & Career Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Wartburg Central, they will square off against Gatlinburg-Pittman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
