Basketball Game Preview: Vale Vikings vs. Lakeview Honkers

The Vale Vikings will take on the Lakeview Honkers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vale is coming into the game hot, having won their last 18 games.

Vale is returning to their home court after beating Burns on theirs, despite the fact Burns has dominated at home this season. Vale walked away with a 56-48 win over Burns two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Lakeview had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on Neah-Kah-Nie with a sharp 53-31 victory on Tuesday.

Vale pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.9 points. As for Lakeview, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Vale took their victory against Lakeview in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 57-37. Does Vale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lakeview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
