Volleyball Game Preview: Boone Braves vs. Edgewater Eagles

Boone is a perfect 4-0 against Edgewater since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. Boone is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Boone came up short against Colonial and fell 3-1.

While Boone had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Edgewater sidestepped Jones for a 3-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Fightin' Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-104) Edgewater actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 19-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-20, 17-15.

Edgewater's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Boone, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Boone took their win against Edgewater when the teams last played on March 3rd by a conclusive 3-0. Does Boone have another victory up their sleeve, or will Edgewater turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
