Pascack Hills extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 8-6. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mahwah Thunderbirds, sneaking past 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on April 8th.
Nina Tuli was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Brielle Siegenthaler and Addyson Zoelle did most of the damage at the plate: Siegenthaler went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Zoelle went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Ava Angrisani was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Pascack Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
As for Mahwah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since May 3, 2025.
Like Pascack Hills, Mahwah also got a great game from a two-way player: Camille Torres. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. Torres was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double.
Torres wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ali Migliacci, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pascack Hills will welcome Teaneck at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mahwah, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dumont at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
