Baseball Game Preview: Enochs Eagles vs. Downey Knights

For the second straight game, Enochs will face off against Downey. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Enochs' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Downey's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Enochs is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Downey on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Enochs let Bryan Delgado and Dominic Lomas run wild. Delgado went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Lomas went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Delgado has posted since back in April of 2025.

Enochs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Downey is on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17. As for Enochs, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
