Soccer Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

Georgetown lost to Carolina Forest back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost 10-0 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Georgetown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Carolina Forest are ranked 46th).

Georgetown has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Carolina Forest, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Georgetown will challenge Timberland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carolina Forest, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 win against Conway on the 24th.
