Basketball Recap: Santa Teresa Takes a Loss

Santa Teresa played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 75-17 loss at the hands of the Deming Wildcats. The Desert Warriors lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-27 score last time.

Santa Teresa's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Deming, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Teresa will head out to take on Silver at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deming, they are taking a road trip to square off against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaparral has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Deming will come in with four straight victories.
