Softball Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stratford can now relate to. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Canaan Rams on Monday. The shutout was out of character for the Red Devils seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Stratford has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for New Canaan, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Stratford by a score of 5-0 later that day.
