Basketball Recap: Cannelton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Cannelton had to endure a 30-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Frederick Fraize Aces by a score of 40-28 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 55-50 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cannelton's victory ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9. As for Frederick Fraize, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cannelton and Providence Cristo Rey will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Frederick Fraize, they will venture away from home to challenge Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st.
