Baseball Game Preview: Brooke Bruins vs. East Fairmont Bees

The Brooke Bruins are taking a road trip to take on the East Fairmont Bees at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brooke is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Brooke was handed a nine-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past St. Clairsville 13-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their one-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Garrett Moore, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Sperringer, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Brooke was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, East Fairmont had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Buckhannon-Upshur on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bees have posted since May 13, 2024.

Brooke's record is now 14-9. As for East Fairmont, their record now sits at 7-10.
