It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oakland-Craig had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Yutan Chieftains. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Chieftains recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Briar Ray paced Oakland-Craig's offense, picking up 25 kills. Ray got some help from Mia Thomsen and her 59 assists. Ray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
When it comes to explaining why Yutan lost, don't look at Kenzie Govier. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and three aces.
Oakland-Craig's win bumped their record up to 30-8. As for Yutan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-9.
