Bishop O'Connell proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Collegiate Cougars 4-3. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bishop O'Connell's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Collegiate are ranked sixth).

Bishop O'Connell's win bumped their record up to 9-6-2. As for Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4-2.

Looking ahead, Bishop O'Connell will host Paul VI at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Collegiate, they will be playing at home against Veritas School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
