Basketball Recap: Valley Head Comes Up Short

Valley Head was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Ider Hornets 69-17. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Hornets are ranked 36th).

Valley Head's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Ider, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

Valley Head won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Collinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ider, they will host Oakwood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
