            Baseball Recap: Service Cougars vs. Eagle River Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            Service extended their postseason success on Friday against Eagle River. They walked away with  a   6-2  victory over the Wolves. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Wolves  last Friday, they had to take a  4-3  loss.

 Rilen Niclai was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Landon Martindale, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in May.
Service is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 20-4 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eagle River,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 15-4-2 record.
As of now, neither Service nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
