Soccer Game Preview: Richmond vs. Imlay City

Richmond is 0-9-1 against Imlay City since October of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Blue Devils will head out to square off against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Richmond took a five-goal loss the last time they faced off against Cardinal Mooney Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils' defense stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Richmond.

Meanwhile, Imlay City won against Algonac on Monday with eight goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. The Spartans were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Muskrats. The result was nothing new for Imlay City, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 11-7-3. As for Imlay City, their win bumped their record up to 12-7-2.
