Basketball Preview: Hunt Warriors vs. East Wake Warriors

After three games on the road, Hunt is heading back home. They will take on the East Wake Warriors at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hunt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Hunt's strategy against the Saints on Friday. Hunt blew past the Saints 55-30. Hunt pushed the score to 45-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Saints had little chance of recovering from.

Hunt's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ti'asia Taylor, who scored 22 points along with six steals. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Gracelynn Wolzen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, East Wake's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-33 bruising from West Johnston.

Hunt is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for East Wake, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Hunt strolled past the Warriors in their previous matchup on Monday by a score of 46-28. Will Hunt repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
