            Softball Recap: Bridges Prep Buccaneers vs. Cross Stingrays        
        
		
        
        
            Bridges Prep had lost three straight on the road, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 4-11 to make it four. They fell  17-12 to the Cross Stingrays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stingrays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  15-3  back in March.

 Bridges Prep got a  massive  performance out of  Lillie Prater, who  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with five  stolen bases and four  runs. Prater is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last ten games she's  played.  Grace Smyth was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
As for Cross,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 12-7. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.5 runs over those games.
 On Cross' side,  Sydney Hollings was  incredible,  going 4-for-5 with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  hits  Hollings has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Ryan Mayers, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base.
 Bridges Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cross, they will take on Andrew Jackson Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Stingrays are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak.
