Moose Lake/Willow River extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping their season record up to 8-4 in the process. They put the hurt on the Two Harbors Agates with a sharp 7-1 win. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

As for Two Harbors, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Two Harbors' part, Garren Tikkanen was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Tikkanen has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Two Harbors saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Swardstrom, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Jacob Klinker, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Looking ahead, Moose Lake/Willow River will take on Braham at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Two Harbors, they will face off against Barnum at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
