Soccer Game Preview: Clear Creek vs. Dawson School

Clear Creek is 0-9 against Dawson School since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Golddiggers will venture away from home to challenge the Mustangs at 4:15 p.m. Clear Creek has given up an average of 6.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clear Creek is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 5-0 to Fountain Valley.

Despite a strong season so far, Dawson School has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Denver Christian on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked Dawson School's fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Their goal came courtesy of Lily Sullivan, who's now up to 11 this season.

Clear Creek's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Dawson School, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-1.

Clear Creek suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Dawson School in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Golddiggers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
