Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Old Lyme walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars on Saturday, sneaking past 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Cougars on Monday, they had to take a 10-3 defeat.

Old Lyme now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Haddam-Killingworth, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Old Lyme will face off against Hale Ray at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Noises will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Haddam-Killingworth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
