Softball Recap: Manning Takes a Loss

Manning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Marion Swamp Foxes.

Manning's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Marion, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Manning will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Waccamaw at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for Marion, they will square off against West Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Swamp Foxes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
