Langham Creek lost to Cypress Springs  back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Lobos walked away with  a   38-28  win over the Panthers. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Lobos.
Langham Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Andre Salazar, who threw for 221 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 37 yards and one  TD. The Lobos' leading receiver  Zaiden Swift was  Salazar's top target yet again, picking up 177 receiving yards and one  score.
 Langham Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Cameron Wyatt and  Oliver Coleman.
 When it comes to explaining why Cypress Springs lost, don't look at  Paris Melvin Jr. Despite the final result, he rushed for 181 yards and a pair of  TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 58 receiving yards and one  touchdown. Melvin Jr showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 63 yards.
Langham Creek's record is now 5-1. As for Cypress Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Langham Creek is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Cypress Park  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th. That  game will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Jordan King and  Ja'Harvey Johnson. Meanwhile, Cypress Springs will  face off against  rival Cypress Woods  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th.
