Soccer Recap: Mount Pleasant Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mount Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Monroe Redhawks. While losing is never fun, Mount Pleasant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Monroe are ranked 246th).

Mount Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Monroe, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mount Pleasant will venture away from home to square off against West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Monroe, they will head out to take on Forest Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monroe will be up against Forest Hills' rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.92 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
