Preview: Hall/Putnam County Red Devils vs. Princeton Tigers

The Hall/Putnam County Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Princeton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hall/Putnam County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Princeton is ranked 66th).

Hall/Putnam County fell victim to Rockridge's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Rockets. Hall/Putnam County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Princeton had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mendota 55-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Princeton, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Casey Etheridge was his usual excellent self, rushing for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Etheridge is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played. Preston Arkels was in the mix too, providing Princeton with two touchdowns.

Princeton's win bumped their season record to 7-1 while Hall/Putnam County's defeat dropped theirs to 3-4.
