Soccer Recap: Beech Grove Takes a Loss

Beech Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Beech Grove couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Harper Moore, who's now up to eight this season.

Beech Grove's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for North Montgomery, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-5-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Beech Grove will take on Indian Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Montgomery, they will head out on the road to take on Lebanon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Montgomery's defense better be ready for this one: Lebanon have averaged an impressive 2.5 goals per game this season.
