Volleyball Recap: Gunnison Valley Comes Up Short

Gunnison Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the Duchesne Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Gunnison Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Gunnison Valley still got an impressive performance from Shae King, who had 18 digs and two assists.

Gunnison Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Duchesne, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Gunnison Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Wayne on the 14th. As for Duchesne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Altamont on the 14th.
