Dighton hadn't done well against Greeley County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Hornets skirted past the Jackrabbits 2-1. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Jackrabbits walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Dighton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-11, 25-22.

Dighton's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Greeley County, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 13-5.

Dighton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Otis-Bison on the 22nd. As for Greeley County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Rawlins County on the 25th.
