Baseball Recap: Corning Comes Up Short

Corning might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Live Oak who claimed the real prize. The Cardinals fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-2. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Corning saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Walton, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Corning's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Live Oak, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.
