Basketball Recap: Oregon-Davis Sets Scoring Season-High Against South Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oregon-Davis). They walked away with a 62-54 win over the South Central Satellites on Thursday. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Bobcats were the better team in the second half.

South Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Samantha Marks, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 14 points and three steals. Marks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Johnson, who went 6 of 11 en route to 12 points and seven boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Oregon-Davis and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for South Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Oregon-Davis has already played their next match (against Culver Community), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tri-Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
