Volleyball Recap: Northside - Jacksonville Falls to Southwest Onslow in First Game of Season

Northside - Jacksonville kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Southwest Onslow Stallions by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Northside - Jacksonville sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 14-25, 15-10.

Northside - Jacksonville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alaana Mack, who had 14 digs and two aces, and Lilly Blasingame, who had eight digs and two aces.

Coincidentally, Northside - Jacksonville and Southwest Onslow will both be playing Jacksonville the next time they take the court. The Stallions will head out to face the Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Monarchs will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
