Basketball Recap: Monticello Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Monticello and Piute squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Monticello had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Piute Thunderbirds and fell 55-12. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-10 back in November of 2024.

Monticello has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. Piute's win bumped their record up to 13-10.

As of now, neither Monticello nor Piute have any future games scheduled.
