Baseball Recap: Sebastian River Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Sebastian River had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Port St. Lucie Jaguars on Monday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Sharks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jamison Jones tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Sebastian River's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Julius Lewis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Lewis has become a key player for the Sharks: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-12 otherwise.

Sebastian River's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Port St. Lucie, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17-1.

As of now, neither Sebastian River nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
