Basketball Recap: Lukas Lutthans' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lindbergh over Kennedy Catholic

Lindbergh lost against Kennedy Catholic back in January of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lindbergh Eagles took a hard 66-52 fall against the Kennedy Catholic Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Lancers are ranked 112th).

Lindbergh lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lukas Lutthans, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of John Choul, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 17 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Lindbergh and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Kennedy Catholic, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5.

Lindbergh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-55 loss against Renton on the 30th. Kennedy Catholic has also already played their next contest, a 51-49 victory against Kentwood on the 6th.
