Basketball Recap: Keys Comes Up Short

Keys lost against Sequoyah back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Keys Cougars lost to the Sequoyah Indians on the road by a 78-59 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Indians are ranked 105th).

This is the second loss in a row for Keys and nudges their season record down to 10-9. As for Sequoyah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Keys will be playing in front of their home fans against Westville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequoyah has already played their next contest (against Riverside Indian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
