Baseball Game Preview: Xenia Buccaneers vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils

Xenia hasn't had much luck against Tippecanoe recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Buccaneers will welcome the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. The contest will give Xenia their first taste of in-conference action this season.

On Saturday, Xenia didn't have quite enough to beat Urbana and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Buccaneers have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe didn't have quite enough to beat Blackman on Saturday and fell 5-3.

Tippecanoe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Fox, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Tippecanoe now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Xenia, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Xenia might still be hurting after the 13-1 defeat they got from Tippecanoe when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Buccaneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
