Softball Recap: Liberty Magnet Comes Up Short

Liberty Magnet lost against Scotlandville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots came up short against the Hornets, falling 14-2. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty Magnet saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Roy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Liberty Magnet's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Scotlandville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

While Liberty Magnet had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
