Basketball Game Preview: Global Concepts Gators vs. Cardinal O'Hara Hawks

Global Concepts is 0-3 against Cardinal O'Hara since February of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Global Concepts Gators will host the Cardinal O'Hara Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Global Concepts is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season.

While Global Concepts didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past Kendall with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 53-39.

Global Concepts got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jose Castro out in front who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Shawndale Lipscomb, who had 12 points and seven rebounds.

Global Concepts smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in ten consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Cardinal O'Hara didn't have quite enough to beat Williamsville North on Thursday and fell 62-60. The Hawks have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Cardinal O'Hara's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Global Concepts, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
