Basketball Recap: East Grand Rapids Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lowell last Tuesday, East Grand Rapids came back down to earth. The East Grand Rapids Pioneers took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forest Hills Central Rangers on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now lost five in a row.

East Grand Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Forest Hills Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

East Grand Rapids and Forest Hills Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. East Grand Rapids (ranked 302nd) will meet Christian (ranked 122nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Forest Hills Central will face off against Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 106 places (153 vs. 47).
