Football Game Preview: Johnson Central Golden Eagles vs. Corbin Redhounds

The Johnson Central Golden Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Corbin Redhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Johnson Central will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Johnson Central earned a 21-14 victory over Boyd County. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golden Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Lions are ranked 63rd).

Meanwhile, Corbin suffered their biggest loss since September 20, 2024 last Friday. They came up short against Frederick Douglass, falling 28-7. The Redhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Johnson Central's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Corbin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Johnson Central came up short against Corbin when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 56-51. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
