Baseball Recap: Luther Takes a Loss

Luther couldn't beat Meeker on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Lions fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in April.

Luther saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Bailey, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Luther dropped their record down to 11-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Meeker, their win bumped their record up to 21-13.

Luther does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meeker, they will head out to square off against Hartshorne at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
