Basketball Recap: South Gate Comes Up Short

South Gate managed to slip by Roosevelt the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams had to suffer through a 60-27 loss at the hands of the Rough Riders. The game was a close 17-16 at the break, but unfortunately for the Rams it sure didn't stay that way.

South Gate is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. As for Roosevelt, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. South Gate will take on Garfield in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Roosevelt and Legacy will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rough Riders will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
