Basketball Recap: First Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Father Lopez Green Wave
First Baptist Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Father Lopez Green Wave by a score of 54-47. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Green Wave, too.

Jay Rose was a one-woman wrecking crew as she almost dropped a triple-double with 31 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. Those 31 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Regan Baker, who went 5-for-11 en route to 12 points and six boards.
Despite the loss, Father Lopez saw an underclassman step up: freshman Scotlyn Gill shot 55% from the field on her way to 13 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Francis, who posted eight points and five rebounds.
