Baseball Recap: Mohonasen Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Mohonasen's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Troy on Wednesday. The Warriors never let the Voorheesville Blackbirds get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Blackbirds: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Nic Quinlivan's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Mohonasen is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Shea Moore, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Mohonasen pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Voorheesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8-1.
