Baseball Game Preview: Parkside Rams vs. Decatur Seahawks

The Parkside Rams will take on the Decatur Seahawks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Parkside 2.3, Decatur 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Parkside came out on top against Wicomico on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Rams put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 11-3 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Decatur entered their tilt with Annapolis on Saturday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The one-run effort marked the Seahawks' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Decatur pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Parkside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
