Soccer Recap: South Sumter Gets the Win

After failing to score in their last contest, South Sumter made sure to put some goals up on the board against Dunnellon on Friday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Dunnellon Tigers. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Raiders' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Dunnellon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jamily Cruz (2), Kayla Dougherty, and Janiely Otero-Rodriguez.

The win got South Sumter back to even at 7-7-6. As for Dunnellon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-2.

As of now, neither South Sumter nor Dunnellon have any future games scheduled.
