Basketball Game Preview: Plant Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Tech Titans

The Plant Panthers will challenge the Tampa Bay Tech Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Plant knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Tampa Bay Tech likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Plant challenged Jesuit on Friday. Plant fell 65-55 to Jesuit.

Tampa Bay Tech hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Lennard by a score of 53-46 on Wednesday.

Plant better keep an eye on Evan Clark. He was instrumental in Tampa Bay Tech's win, putting up 16 points along with five boards and four steals. The contest was Clark's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Javon Russel was another key player, posting six points and five rebounds.

Tampa Bay Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Tampa Bay Tech's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Plant, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5.

Plant strolled past Tampa Bay Tech when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 56-41. Will Plant repeat their success, or does Tampa Bay Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
