Football Recap: Island Coast Comes Up Short

Island Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Myers Green Wave.

Island Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fort Myers, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Island Coast will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lehigh at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Fort Myers, they will head out on the road to challenge Estero at 6:30 p.m. on March 13th. Fort Myers' offense hasn't had much luck over their past four contests, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
