Basketball Recap: Mcclave's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

McClave won the last time they faced Holly and Tuff Kelley did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cardinals took down the Wildcats 71-53 on Thursday thanks in part to Kelley, who went 10-for-16 on his way to 22 points along with eight boards and six blocks. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points.

The win made it two in a row for McClave and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for Holly, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

McClave and Holly will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Cardinals see the court they'll take on Eads at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2026. As for Holly, their break will end when they face Rocky Ford at 4:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
