Basketball Preview: Avon Panthers vs. Wareham Vikings
Avon has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Wareham Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Friday, Avon lost to the Chieftains on the road by a decisive 43-29 margin.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kylie Mallet, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Hanelie Cadet, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Wareham scored the most points they've had all season to find success back in January. They blew past Rising Tide, posting a 55-11 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Wareham has managed all season.
Avon has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Wareham, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
