Basketball Recap: North Idaho Christian Falls to Immaculate Conception Academy in First Game of Season

North Idaho Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. The game between them and the Immaculate Conception Academy Cristeros didn't end well, with the North Idaho Christian Royals falling 72-53. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cristeros apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

It was another big night for Dominic Wilhelm, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards for Immaculate Conception Academy. The matchup was Wilhelm's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Demeyer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Immaculate Conception Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

North Idaho Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Immaculate Conception Academy, they will challenge Coeur du Christ Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Immaculate Conception Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Coeur du Christ Academy likes a good challenge.
